by Manish Patel Power Platform & Mobile App
Over the years and almost none of the sectors that internet has not added connectivity to. It is from your home curtains to office curtains, from your home doors to your garage doors and from anything to everything, Internet has brought a drastic change. And to add to the spark, Internet of Things has helped a lot.

Doesn’t the following random thought strike your mind,

But what is this Internet of Things smart technology and what can it do for you?

So the very smart & secure IoT is a chain or network of appliances like home devices, motors, office appliances & physical devices which are transformed into motion sensors, mobile applications, software’s which are connected through the internet to provide & exchange data.

Now, what does IoT basically does for you?

The list is of course long, but to be precise,

  1. Transferring information or messages. E.g.: It will alert when the sprinkler in your garden has finished with sprinkling water at your notified time.
  2. Get notified from anywhere in the world. E.g.: With a mobile application you can easily talk with guests arriving at your doorstep while you are away.
  3. Gives alerts when any device does not function well. E.g.: It will show you which device consumes more power at your home and notifies when out of order.
  4. With sensors, it does not just save time. It saves money as well.

Was this sufficient? If no, I will give you more reasons for what IoT does for you!

  1. Better move to Supply Management.
  2. Security making smarter
  3. Making decisions powerful
  4. Data Analysis
  5. Generating business opportunities

Let me brief you about it.

Better move to Supply Management:

Not cool when you get notified every time you run short of stock in your inventory? I am sure it is. IoT gives a real thrust to supply chain management.

By applying this, the producers, sellers, manufacturers are bound to make positional moves and proper decisions.

Security making smarter:

In addition, IoT technology is enormously beneficial for home security. For surveillance, cameras can be viewed remotely via iOS & Android mobile application. Watch out at your door through Video controlling that too from anywhere in the world. Get notifies immediately when there is some unusual movement.

Making decisions powerful:

As we know that IoT is such a technology which reacts on the basis of data it gets. So while in the organizations there are different levels in the system development life cycle, with IoT the data which is collected can be used in an intelligent way at different levels.

Thus making decisions more reliable, concrete & data driven.

Data Analysis:

With more than trillions of devices connected to the Internet by earliest 2020’s, each gathering data which is definitely going to increase productivity, lucidity, and speed.

One can adjust to this new type of data insight and exploit the surge of information. Furnished with the correct data, you can settle on more astute business choices.

Generating business opportunities:

The interconnectivity of the devices is helping business owners & employees to generate more opportunities.

The Internet of Things improvements wouldn't back off at any point in the near future, however, the quicker your association creates and actualizes a system, the more secure your future will be.

So, calling this technology useless is not liable as IoT gives bunch chances not only to small business but to the businesses already into the market. IoT adds another measurement to the huge data dialog – larger the data, more educated choices, enhanced consumer loyalty, better quality items and more effective administration and support.
