UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) is a central authorized agency of the country to conduct various exam including Civil Services Exam, Combined Defence Exam, Combined Medical Service Exam, etc. Indian Engineering Services (IES) exam is one of them and is conducted by UPSC only. It is a three day long process in which candidates have to pass various selection criteria. The notification related to exam will be released on 14 March 2015. Candidates can check all the details in that notification. UPSC IES 2015 will be conducted on 12 June 2015 on three consecutive days. The candidates qualifying in exam will be recruited in various sectors of Indian Government. Candidates can start their registration for the exam form 14 March 2015 and the last date for registration is 10 April 2015. The exam will be conducted on 12 June 2015.

Eligibility Criteria For UPSC IES 2015

Eligibility criteria are the conditions that decides whether the candidates are able enough to appear in the exam or not. The candidates those who satisfy all the eligibility conditions for UPSC IES 2015 are eligible for the exam.

  • Candidates must be Indian or subject to Bhutan or Nepal.
  • Tibetan refugees migrated to India prior to 1 January 1962 are eligible.
  • Indian origin candidates moved from Burma, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and East African Countries of Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda, Vietnam, Zambia, etc.
  • The candidates belonging to above points will have to submit a certificate of eligibility issued by Government of India.
  • They must be minimum of 21 years and not more than 30 years.

Application Form For UPSC IES 2015


To appear in UPSC IES 2015, candidates will have to fill the application form. The form will be available on the website of UPSC and click the link which will direct them to the application form. They will have to fill all the details in the application form correctly and completely. If candidates provide wrong details then they might get rejected from the exam. After filling the form candidates must also submit the fees for appearing in exam. Fees can be paid via online or offline mode as per the convenience of candidates.

Candidates of general and OBC category will have to pay 200/- as application fees whereas the candidates of SC, ST and PH category do not have to pay any fees.
