Installation Tips of Eonon Android Car DVD Player GA5166X for BMW X5 E53

Great news to tell you that Eonon has released Mazda 3 Navigation, which are so popular all over the world.

 

There are more and more BMW X5 E53 2000-2007 owners are willing to upgrade their OEM radio with an aftermarket one which has more powerful functions, such as Bluetooth, DVD player, Mutual Control MirrorLink function and GPS navigation function. What's more, some of them would like to install the new Car DVD Players by themselves. Anyway, some newbies are thinking that this is a difficult job when installing. So we would like to share with you some installation tips for this unit today.

 

GA5166X comes with a FREE extension harness (Which values $69.9). The BMW special extension harness fits the car with original display (or GPS). When installed in the car, it is plug and play. Do not destroy the original car circuits, keep sound quality and easy to install.

 

Installation instructions:

There are different situations:

1. If your car does not have LCD screen, it is plug & play;

2. If your car has LCD screen, then extension harness is needed, please follow step 1 to 4 to find factory power connector first;

1) Connect the harness male plug to the factory power connector, it is plug& play, please check step 5.

2) Connect the harness male plug to the factory power connector, and connect the female harness to factory BM54 male plug, please check step 6.

 

Step 1. Disassemble the car center console fascia.

Step 2. Unplug the power cable of the factory unit.

Step 3. Open the trunk lid and move the spare tire out of the car.

Step 4. Move the round metal frame under the spare tire out of the car.

Step 5. Connect the harness male plug to the factory power connector.

Step 6. Connect the harness male plug to the factory power connector, and connect the female harness to factory BM54 male plug.

 

A0573 extension harness: Just plug and play.

You just need to connect the two plugs of A0573 with the original radio (

BM54), and the radio plug respectively.

With the radio wire extension in it. No extra antenna is needed.

 

Normal wire extension: You need to cut 5 wires and do modification in your trunk. If any mistake is made, the amplifier may be burnt. Do not include radio antenna wire extension. Need to buy separately.
