Install Several Colors of Granite Kitchen Countertops

by Paul Toomey Marketing Manager

Keep up with trendy kitchen designs and mix granite countertop colors for a unique fantasy. The use of two or more colors will not overpower the environment. A creative and thrilling balance is all that is required. Let the colors and patterns work as a blend.

Antico Cream Granite and Nilo River Granite

Between two similar colors and patterns, select a light and a dark version. Nilo River Granite does look like a dark Antico Cream Granite with the similar brown, gold, and ivory. The lighter one would suit the center island.

Caledonia Granite and Brown Antique Granite

Contrasting granite colors would draw attention to the focal point in the room. If you want the center island to be the focus, put the darker color there. Brown Antique Granite catches the eye with white and gray crystals on a dark brown backdrop, very effective under intense lighting. Caledonia Granite with complex white and gray designs provides a cheery spot for a family chat with friends. Dark granite balances the shady cabinets.

Blue Bahia Granite and Andromeda White Granite

The mysterious, daring Blue Bahia Granite matches well with a gentle effect like the Andromeda White Granite. If white and gray form the chief background to a modern kitchen, install blue, white, and gray twirls on the massive center island that stands out so well. The white granite countertops do not interfere, providing balance.

Angola Black Granite and Alpine White Granite

Think practically and esthetically too when faced with complementing granite choices. A light Alpine White Granite with a bold pattern is awesome on a center island as a focal gathering point. Install a dark shade on the side counters. Angola Black Granite with its speckles will not show up the stains.

Nordic Black Granite and Aspen White Granite

Contrasting colors of granite like Nordic Black Granite and Aspen White Granite can set the kitchen scene very well. Nordic Black with its grays against a black backdrop adorns kitchen islands well. Let the cabinets be contrasting too.

Matching, blending and contrasting countertops and granite colors and patterns does not require an expert in interior design.  Choose similarly colored granites and match the bold designs with the gentle variations. The focal point is important and proceed from there. Our inspiration gallery contains many creative ideas for kitchen countertops to help you create your own set up.
