Hi, I am Winnie from Singapore.  I am 43 yo and like some other people, I love to eat, sleep, movies and travel.

As I am single and do not have many friends, I travel alone.  Some of my friend and colleagues were asking me.  “Don’t you feel lonely and afraid of travelling alone?”  My answer is sometimes yes.  If I do my research well before travelling and the outcome is what I had planned, of course I am not afraid.

But there are at times when the things I planned is not as what I expected, I would had a kind of fear.  The fear of not able to handle situation.  Hence, I will do my best to get myself prepared if the unexpected happen.

Another question my friend and colleagues asked me is “how you decide the place you want to go?”  For me, the place that I wanted to go should be somewhere I had a strong feeling about.  The so-called “signs” that inspire me to spend good amount of time exploring the place there.

These “signs” can be from a television program about the country that I happen to watch it, a book/magazine that I happen to pick up in a book store and flip through, a word of mouth from my friend where they had visited it recently or even conversations from strangers in bus / MRT.

As long as I don’t feel pressurized, all the above can be an indicator to me.  I would just go with my intuition and I will get myself to enjoy the process in planning out my next stop.
