Information on KCET 2015 Seat Allotment Process

With the declaration of KCET 2015 exam result, Karnataka examination authority will conduct KCET 2015 seat allotment. Through this allotment, engineering aspirants will be admitted to various engineering colleges in the state of Karnataka.

KCET 2015 Seat Allotment is a two round process with an extended second round, in case any vacancies are left. This allotment will purely be based on KCET 2015 Merit list, marks obtained by the students and the choices made by them.

The latest notification on KCET seat allotment will be announced soon. Candidates who will appear for this allotment process need to download the admission letter after its announcement.

KCET 2015 Seat Allotment Procedure-

 The confirmation for the seat allotment can be done by visiting the official website and entering your CET number. After the confirmation, if a candidate wishes to go with the allotted seat then he need to access choice-1 in the website but if he still wants to continue then he has to go for choice-2. Moreover, if he/she is not satisfied with the allotted seat and want to take part in the further then choice-3 must be accessed. If he/she is not satisfied with the allotted seat nor wishes to go for further then choice-4 should be selected.
 
For Choice 1:

For this choice, candidate need to download the challan. This challan contains the basic info of the candidate. Candidates are requested to confirm these details and then sign the challan. Upon downloading of the challan, candidate need to submit the fee as per the category they belong to. The fee can be submitted to any nearest branch of the Central bank or Indian bank or Syndicate bank or State Bank of Mysore or any computerised e-post office. The candidate can retain their copy of challan from the bank and after three hours of fee payment, can download their admission order. With the necessary documents, candidates need to report to the concerned college on the prescribed date.

For Choice 2:

To exercise this choice, candidate need to hold the seat in the first round and then take part in the second round of the KCET seat allotment 2015 s process. If the candidate gets a seat in the higher order then his earlier will automatically be cancelled but if he/she is not allotted any seat then the earlier allotted seat can be retained.

For Choice 3:

For choice-3, candidate don’t need to hold the earlier seat. This means that the seat that was allotted to earlier was not content and the candidate is moving on to the next round.

 For Choice 4:

Candidates who will exercise this choice will not be considered for any further round of the allotment process.

Seat Allotment for the Second Extended Round:

Candidates who will be allotted seats in this round need to pay the prescribed fee (only if they have not paid any fee earlier) and should report to the college on or before the prescribed date. Moreover, such students need to update their details using their ID in order to avoid the loss of the seat.
