Indie Musician And Youtube Sensation Alexx Calise Reaches For The Stars

Los Angeles, CA (April 13, 2016) - All her life, Alexx Calise has followed her dreams no matter what obstacles she’s encountered.  As a child, she wanted to play guitar but was encouraged to follow a more practical direction in life.  This only strengthened her resolve, and the artist devoted herself to exploring her passion: making meaningful music, connecting with her fans, and following her destiny as a singer, songwriter and guitarist.  Her dedication has paid off in the form of soulful lyrics, ethereal vocals, smooth guitar, and songs that are strictly from the heart.  Her emergent body of work has been called: ever growing, ever changing, and effervescent.  She is a bright star on the rise and one of the freshest indie artists in music today.

A huge hit in Los Angeles and its thriving music scene, she attracted one of the most respected producers in the industry to create her fifth studio album, Addition by Subtraction, which is currently available on her website and at all digital music retailers.  It is an impressive collection co-created with the Grammy-nominated music producer Warren Huart, who is known worldwide for his work with Aerosmith, The Fray and James Blunt.

Calise is perhaps best known for her hit song, “Cry”, which has enjoyed heavy rotation on the Lifetime show, “Dance Moms”. The music video for Cry (produced by Grammy-Nominated Luigie Gonzalez) features “Dance Moms” star and current judge on “So You Think You Can Dance”, Maddie Ziegler, and it has quickly gained over 3 million views and tens of thousands of downloads.

Other compositions by Calise have appeared on top rated shows including "Last Call With Carson Daly" (NBC), "The Voice" (NBC), “Audrina” (Vh1), "Tough Love" (Vh1), “NY Ink” (TLC), “Next” (MTV), and "10 on Top" (MTV).  Her album’s first single “Wasting Away” will soon make its debut on an upcoming episode of Lifetime’s “Dance Moms.”

Although Alexx has become the behind the scenes “go-to” girl for providing memorable music to some of America’s top TV series, the industry has invited the beautiful artist a place in front of the camera.
