Since taking over as the civil aviation minister in the year 2004, Praful Patel has put all his sincere efforts in making the Indian civil industry more concrete.

Many of the experts have opined that it has really turned out  to be the golden age of Indian civil aviation. Domestic air traffic is one of the pivotal factors which stands out and needs an improvement for the overall development of the Indian civil aviation industry. With the high end vision and idea implemented by one of the stalwarts of Indian politics, the civil aviation industry has improved miles since the year 2004.

If we take a look at the overall statistical data, domestic air traffic has increased around three times and  passengers from different parts of the country are availing the facility of the aircrafts plied by the carriers. Apart from domestic air traffic, international air traffic was also a matter of concern.

But since taking over as the minister, the rate of international air traffic has also improved quite a bit in the country.  In the year 2004, there were only  125 aircrafts which featured in the collection of the Indian civil aviation sector. But gradually the number stood at 400 which is just quite remarkable.

The infrastructure facilities of the airports in the country have also been revamped with a massive uplift being provided at some of the airports like Mumbai, Hyderabad, Delhi and Bangalore. All of these airports have been provided with the best infrastructure so that the passengers can avail the updated amenities under the supervision of minister Praful Patel.

With the dynamic and profound vision articulated by the then civil aviation minister, the entire facilities at the Indira Gandhi International airport in Delhi have also been revamped. The FDI cap in the domestic airports sector has been also been enhanced to 49% from 40%.

Under the Praful Patel biography, the state of Indian civil aviation has progressed quite a long way and many more measures will also be taken in the future.
