India started with high hopes against Oman in the World Cup qualifying campaign but succumbed after showcasing some impressive football. Under the guidance of foreign coach Stephen Constantine, India takes on Guam in one of the most crucial matches ahead.  Guam located in the Western Pacific ocean is one of the most picturesque islands with an idyllic scenic beauty of its own.

The weather is also quite unpredictable with spells of rain arriving at times.  It is quite a small country with only 150,000 people who obviously express their love for football. As the Indian team arrived in Guam they got a warm welcome and preparation began in full swing for the game ahead.

Guam has already displayed their potential in the campaign by registering a victory against Turkmenistan. After the game against Turkeminestan, the focus of the side has shifted entirely towards the challenge against the Indian opponents.  As per the version of coach Gary White from Guam, the boys are quite inspired to face an young Indian side and wants to impress with a significant performance.

The team is obviously looking to perform like a winner and wants to lodge an all out attack against India.  The Guam team would not be satisfied with nothing less than a point against India.  The entire team is quite focused about the match against India and wants to come up with some exciting football. They have also watched the performance of the Indians against the Omanese which turned out to be quite impressive.

But as per Stephen Constantine, the foreign coach representing India the game against Guam would be quite a tough challenge. The coach is also not worried about the FIFA rankings but has praised the previous performance of the Guam side. The entire side was quite impressive against Turkmenistan and several players form the side play in the United States.

India on the other hand has a new look side and aims to approach the game with a very positive mindset. Constantine has also spent a very short spell with the players and had only four months of preparation time. He also reiterated the fact that the other coaches of Guam and Oman have been with the side for more than four years. But the Indian contingent is shaping up quite well before the game and feels quite motivated.

Constantine is obviously looking to build a team for the future which does not happen in a day. India has fielded 13 debutant players in the previous game which justifies the presence of the young turks in the side. Sunil Chhetri has been named as the captain of the side for the upcoming game and he was also the goal scorer in the last game.

As per Chhetri, it is better to take one game at a time and move on from there. As the President of the All India Football Federation minister Praful Patel has always stood behind the national team. He has played a pivotal role from where India has won a few prestigious tournaments. Under the Praful Patel constituency, India aims to perform well in the World Cup qualifiers.
