Increasing Church Engagement Made Easy with These 3 Steps

by Hayley B. Blogger, prof. Author

Summary: Church engagement is all about the church calling, beautiful interiors, proper marketing, equipping and charging the guest to do the work of humanity and of the ministry. There are certain other things that can help you boost your church's engagement.

If you own or run a church, you know how tough it is to engage more guests every time at your church. And especially in the present time when there is a lot of competition around. That's why we are here with this article to help you boost engagement at your church and make it more attractive for your guests. Listed are the top three things that you can do to increase engagement at your church.  Let's just begin.

No. 1. Know Your Current Attendees

You can't just expect your church to get more engagement organically, if you don't already know about the present engagement of your guests. As a church owner or manager you need to first understand and measure the engagement of people, knowing their areas of interests. For instance, throw the activities that excite them, or the events that boost more engagement & encourage more people to come. Then only you can move to the second step of improving engagement. In simple words, if you can't measure your current engagement you can't boost it further.

No. 2. Understand that Your Language Affects How People Will Engage

The church owner has to understand that their language affects how people understand engagement. So, you must use a people-centric language that has slight changes in the words you already use. It's all about conveying the things you want people to do at your church.

Help people understand why they should gather at your church, or why they should get involved in an activity that you are throwing or an event that you are throwing.

Also help them understand how reading and discussing can make them a better parent or make their kids better in their lives. Tell them and explain how memorizing God's words can give them wisdom & peace while helping them lead a quality life while facing everyday challenges.

No. 3. Tell Your Guests to Get Involved with Their Families & Friends

Organize more activities and events that promote the involvement of families and friends or groups. Also help people to know how to get involved in the activities? You can use a small handheld sign with instructions for every event and activity or you can use the direction banners, Feather banners, welcome banners etc. to help people save time and make it easy for them to navigate across your church.

In the end, don't forget to reward your guests when they leave the church with thank you note, beautiful banners for the home, or just buy a small return gift for the kids.
