IGNOU Open MAT Exam Guidance
IGNOU OPENMAT (Indira Gandhi National Open University OPEN) is an entrance test for candidates who aspire to get admission to programmes related to management. The test is conducted in February and August. IGNOU is considered as the largest Open University in our country. The following are the programs offered by the university.

Exam format
The exam is of 3 hours having 180 questions
General Awareness
It is a general knowledge section containing questions about
World, Science, History, Technology, Current Affairs etc. If you have general
knowledge about all recent news related this you will easily pass General
Awareness Section.
English Language
This section consists of two passages followed by questions based on the
contents of the passages. Each of these questions consists of a related pair of
words in capital letters, followed by four alternative pairs of words. The
candidate has to select the pair that best expresses a relationship similar to
that expressed by the pair in the capitalized letters. One should have
precise knowledge of English Grammar Words of Speech.
Quantitative Aptitude
This quantitative aptitude test consists of allegations questions which are
part of the Quantitative section. One should practice lot of aptitude questions
to crack them in the main exam. Aptitude tests measure those skills that you
acquire during pursuit of your happiness. The quantitative aptitude test focuses
upon your interests in arithmetic. It has been an important part of all
screening aptitude tests. You are tested for your sharpness to analyze the
given data. Here are a few sample questions similar to those that you may face
during your quantitative aptitude testing sessions.
Reasoning
This section consists of reasoning. Whilst the primary focus is on
psychological studies of thinking, Reasoning Topics like deductive reasoning,
inductive reasoning, problem solving, decision making, probability judgment,
conceptual thinking and the influence of language and culture on thought are
also there.
