IBPS RRB 2015: Exam Pattern in Details

Like every other exam, IBPS RRB 2015 exam also has a blue print which every candidate must read and understand before he/she goes for the exam. In the following article, we have included the exam pattern that carries the ability to recruit eligible candidates in RRBs. We assure you that this updated article will throw white light on the respective exam’s features like the number of questions, type of questions, marking scheme, exam duration and sections.

IBPS RRB 2015 Exam-

This IBPS RRB written exam will be conducted online and will contain objective type questions. Now we will discuss the pattern of the exam according to the posts.

 Group I for A & B category states (under official languages act)-

1. For office assistants (multipurpose)-

 There are six objective type tests which are given below-

1. Reasoning

2. Numerical ability

3. General awareness

4. English language

5. Hindi language

6. Computer knowledge

Note- IBPS RRB exam pettern all the test can be given in Hindi or English medium except the language tests which can only be given in their respective languages. All the six tests carries 40 questions each and should be completed in 2.5 hours. Except Reasoning and numerical ability tests which carries 50 as maximum marks, each test contains 40 as the maximum marks.

2. For officer scale- I –

The exam conducted for this posts contains six number of tests which are given below-

1. Reasoning

2. Quantitative aptitude

3. General awareness

4. English language
 
5. Hindi language

6. Computer knowledge

Note- just like the previous one this also contains the test which can be given in Hindi or English medium except the language tests as they can only be given in their respective languages. All the six tests carries 40 questions each and should be completed in 2.5 hours. The total number of marks and questions are same, i.e., 200. In the same way, except reasoning and quantitative aptitude tests which carries 50 as maximum marks, each test contains 40 as the maximum marks.

3. For officer scale – II (general banking officer), officer scale- II (specialist cadre) and officer scale- III-

There are 6 tests in total-

1. Reasoning

2. Quantitative aptitude data interpretation

3. Financial awareness.

4. English language

5. Hindi language

6. Computer knowledge

Each test can be given in Hindi or English language except the language subjects. Similarly, all the six tests carries 40 questions each and should be completed in 2.5 hours. The total number of marks and questions are same, i.e., 200. It should be noted that in officer scale- II (specialist cadre) the time given to answer the paper is 3 hours and there is an additional test, professional knowledge carrying 40 questions for 40 marks. The total marks is 200 for 240 questions.
Group II C category states (under official languages act)


1. For office assistant (multipurpose)-

There are five objective type tests which are given below-

1. Reasoning

2. Numerical ability

3. General awareness

4. English language

5. Computer knowledge

Note- All the test can only be given in English medium. All the five tests carries 40 questions each and should be completed in 2.5 hours.

The IBPS RRB exam conducted for this posts contains 5 number of tests which are given below-

1. Reasoning

2. Quantitative aptitude

3. General awareness

4. English language

5. Computer knowledge

Note- just like the previous one this also contains the tests which can only be given in English medium. All the 5 tests carries 40 questions each and should be completed in 2.5 hours. The total number of marks and questions are same, i.e., 200.

3. For officer scale- II – (general banking officer), officer scale – II (specialist cadre) and officer scale- III –
There are 6 tests in total-

1. Reasoning

2. Quantitative aptitude data interpretation

3. Financial awareness.

4. English language

5. Computer knowledge

Each test can only be given in English language. Similarly, all the six tests carries 40 questions each and should be completed in 2.5 hours. The total number of marks and questions are same, i.e., 200. It should be noted that in officer scale- II (specialist cadre) the time given to answer the paper is 3 hours and in addition to 5 tests there is a sixth test, professional knowledge which make the total number questions to 240.
