IBPS PO 2016 Exam Recruitment Details
The online IBPS PO 2016 examination, either preliminary or main for the selection of capable candidates for Management Trainee or Probationary Officer posts will be held in the month of October 2016. Now, the institute has released the call letters for Pre - Exam Training which are available on the website till 19 September 2016. This pre - exam training will be conducted from 18 September 2016 to 23 September 2016.
Preliminary exam of IBPS PO 2016:
Once the IBPS PO 2016 exam training is conducted, IBPS will issue the admit card for the preliminary exam of IBPS PO 2016 exam fro 23 September 2016. This preliminary exam will be conducted on 03, 04, 10 and 11 October 2016 at the respective centers. Its result will be declared in October 2016 only.
Main exam of IBPS PO:
Fro the main exam, IBPS will release the admit card in October 2016 while the exam will be conducted on 31 October 2016. Its result will be declared in the month of November 2016.
Post completion of IBPS PO 2016 exam:
Once both the exams are executed, IBPS will release the call letter for the interview in December 2016 and the interview will be conducted in January 2017. The final provisional allotment will be done in April 2017.
IBPS PO exam pattern:
I. For preliminary exam, the pattern is as follows:
1. The questions are asked from three topics carrying 100 marks in total for 100 questions.
2. The name of the topics is- Reasoning Ability, English Language & Quantitative Aptitude.
3. The time given is one hour to attempt this paper.
II. For the main exam:
1. The topics included in this exam are:
a. Computer Knowledge
b. General Awareness having special reference to Banking Industry
c. Reasoning
d. Quantitative Aptitude
e. English Language
2. There are 200 questions asked from the above-mentioned topics.
3. The time allotted is two hours and the total marks account for 200.
IBPS PO cut off marks:
1. For SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD category candidates, the mean will be 3/4th of Standard Deviation while it will be 1/4th of Standard Deviation for General Category candidates.
2. As per the requirement, there will be a second level of cut off point on the total.
3. It is necessary for the candidate to obtain the minimum set of marks in each test and also in the total score.
4. Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview on the basis of available vacancies.
5. The marks obtained by the candidate in the main exam will be counted for shortlisting for the interview and also for final merit.
6. Once the whole recruitment process of IBPS PO 2016 is completed, the marks will be shared with the selected candidates.

As discussed earlier, the candidates clearing the cut off of the IBPS PO prelims and main examination will be called for interview in January 2016 while the finally selected candidates will be called for provisional allotment which will be done in April 2016.
