I Need to Make Some Healthy Lifestyle Changes

by Neighborhood Trainers Finding a trainer is a personal choice

Lately, my health has been one thing that has been getting my attention. I feel like my age is catching up to me and making me slower, more sluggish, and prone to things like headache and digestive issues. When I started to have stomach pains, I knew it was time to make some changes in my lifestyle and diet. There is nothing worse than feeling your health getting worse, so I had to do something about fast.

I found a nutritionist Brooklyn that specializes in healthy lifestyle habits and curating diets. It sounded too good to be true, but I took a chance and scheduled a session. I learned so much information I thought my head would explode. I had never thought that what I was eating was causing that much damage to my body. The foods I turned to for snacks and meals on busy days were considered junk – even if they had healthy slogans written on the labels.

Finding a Pilates Brooklyn expert was something I doubted would happen, but I found a professional that trains in Pilates. My workout routine went from non-existent to active. I went to Pilates at least three times a week, building up a sweat and increasing my flexibility. Pilates, along with my nutritionist, taught me about the body and what changes are beneficial. The tips I learned helped me make goals to get my health in better shape, so maybe they will help you.

·         Incorporate fat into your diet. This does not mean eat a lot of fried foods. On the contrary, you should eat foods like avocados and fish with lots of fats and omega-3s. Nuts are also a good source of healthy fat in the diet, helping the immune system and giving skin a wonderful glow.

·         Get a decent amount of sleep. Sleep can make a difference when it comes to how you perform during the day as well as how your body functions. If you find you have trouble sleeping, try establishing a bedtime routine and using essential oils or eating foods that promote sleep.

·         Drink water. Staying hydrated is the most important part of keeping your body healthy. Hydration in the body allows organs to function better and also leads to less acne, more energy, and can even result in weight loss.

My health used to be something I never paid attention to, but now it is the most important part of my life. Getting enough exercise, eating a balanced diet, and staying hydrated keep me from feeling, looking, and functioning as if I am older than I am.
