I have zero motivation, but I’m trying not to show it

It’s crucial to stay motivated if you want to accomplish something. Unfortunately, motivation has a tendency to disappear. Use the following hacks to get back on track:

1. Determine the reason of dullness

Sometimes I feel like I have zero motivation, and I’m sure it happens to everybody – gardeners, painters, journalists, and even New York barbers. Try to determine why you feel down and eliminate the source of mental demoralization. Maybe you just need to find a new inspiration or give your body a proper rest.

2. Procrastinate if you can

I can’t believe I’m giving this advice. You should use this hack only in the case of emergency because procrastination is a bad idea in general. Nevertheless, many people feel unbelievable motivation and generate creative ideas when the deadline is very close. It’s risky, especially if you’re working on an important project, but…no risk, no gain!

3. Look back at your progress

Many people experience the lack of motivation to keep on going when they’re in the middle of their work. The inspiration you felt at the beginning is already gone, and you lose the desire to continue reaching your goal. Take a look at your progress and try to appreciate what you’ve already achieved. Don’t let your efforts go down the drain!

4. Give your organism a rest

In many cases, lack of inspiration is connected with exhaustion and lack of energy in your organism. How many hours did you sleep last night? Did you have breakfast? When was the last time you had rest? Remember the importance of breaks in-between work: visit New York barbers, walk your dog, or go to the cinema.

May motivation be with you!
