Forgive yourself and forgive others - Anger, resentment, or unforgiveness will make it hard to feel happy. Forgiving means you are giving up your anger for something in the past but not forgetting about what happened.

Surround yourself with people who are positive and supportive - We humans pick up traits from others. Find like-minded people and get rid of those who only have negative thoughts. Nurture your relationships with others - this is something that we need to do for ourselves every day.

Relationships extend to the online world as well. Network, join Groups and reach out to people. You will find comfort, support, advice or just someone you can relate with online!

Write down what's bothering you to clear your head from negative thoughts - It's a great exercise to write down our thoughts as it allows our brains to better process situations without the emotional charge.

Acknowledge that it's difficult and takes time to change our thoughts. Try not to take things personally because we are all human beings with different perspectives on life. It may be hard, but try your best to stay grounded in the present moment as much as possible by practicing mindfulness.
