How to use a hair clipper

by TM Maria Be a king in your own kingdom
Haircuts can become very expensive quickly, especially if you keep your hair short. Fortunately, cutting hair with a hair clipper is not that difficult. You will need to learn the basics of making a haircut, which includes getting familiar with the numbers of the hair clipper guide combs. To achieve a more professional look, trim the hair a little with a trimmer and then learn to take care of the wireless clippers for bald.

Prepare to cut your hair

Learn the numbering system of the guide combs. The "numbers" on the hair clipper refer to the guide combs, which determine the length of the hair. Usually, the lower the number of the guide comb, the shorter the haircut will be. For example, a guide comb number “0” will hardly leave hair, while a guide comb number “8” will leave 25 mm (1 inch). In the middle, the guide combs increase 3 mm (1/8 inch) for each number starting with 3 mm (1/8 inch)

Start by washing your hair well. You should wash the hair before cutting it so that it is easy to comb and does not have additional folds or waves. You should also use a detangler, especially if the hair tends to get tangled.

There is a little discrepancy about whether you should leave your hair dry or wet during the cut. You can try both methods to determine the one that works best for you.

It covers the person's shoulders to catch the hair that falls. If the person cannot take a shower immediately after getting a haircut, it is recommended that you look for a slippery material to place around their shoulders and wrap it over their neck. Using a slippery cloth will allow hair to fall to the floor instead of adhering to clothing.

Cutting hair can cause a lot of disorder.

Therefore, to reduce it, cut your hair outside, in a place that you don't mind getting dirty. Another option is to cut it in the garage. If the weather does not allow any of these options, do so in an easy to clean areas, such as the bathroom or kitchen.

Start with the longer guide comb to remove a large length of hair. If you need to remove a lot of hair, start with the guide comb that offers you the longest length of cut you want. That way, you just have to pass it over your head and then come back and cut the shorter parts. That method works very well if you need to remove a lot of hair.
Therefore, if for example, you want to use a guide comb number 2 on the side parts and a number 4 on the top, start bypassing the hair clipper all over your head with a guide comb number 4.

It will depend on you where you should start. You can start at the back or move the clipper from side to side. If you prefer, you can also start at the top. Whichever method you choose, try not to skip to avoid leaving uncut areas.

Move the hair clipper in the opposite direction of hair growth. If you think about the way your hair grows, do it to the sides and back. When using the hair clipper, you must pass it in the opposite direction of that growth, so move it to the sides and back. Similarly, at the top of the head, you should generally move the clipper from front to back.

Pick up the hair with the blade. Start by moving the clipper near the skin. As you ascend, pick up some hair out. Use short pick-up movements over the entire head, which will create a smoother cut.

Combine with another guide comb between the two lengths. In case you have used more than one guide comb, you will notice that there may be a line between the shortest and the longest length. To dim it, use a comb guide among the others you have used. For example, in case you have used the number 2 on the sides and the number 4 on the top, combine them with the number 3. Just pass the clipper along the line and standardize the border between the sections.
