Steps to Resolve QuickBooks Accountant Copy Failed Error:

METHOD 1: Check for long dashes in your notes

If there are long dashes in your notes, it's important to consider the following:

Insert text directly into notes without hyphens for your customers

Using the Windows text editor, easily create text and paste it from there.

You can also email MS Word documents to your customers using the converted QBY file.

Avoid using long dashes in MS Word; however, only one indent in a document can be considered correct.

METHOD 2: Replace permissions

First, manage the specific folder where QuickBooks files are stored. Once done, right-click the file and select Share & Security.

After selecting the sharing and security options, a new dialog box will appear on the screen. Select permissions.

Now select Add Browse to find current QuickBooks Data Services users.

However, this changes with each new version and upgrade. Therefore, before creating an accounting copy, make sure to grant Edit and Read permissions to the account.

You can now attempt to create an accounting copy.

Also make sure there are no strange characters in your file path. You should only use letters in the company name, ignoring characters.
