How to Transfer Files within OneDrive on iOS

When you realized that you need to organize your important folders and files in your OneDrive and you can do online straight from its website.  Here are the steps to follow:

1st Way: By transferring a Folder

  1. Open your OneDrive – Search the app within your iOS mobile and press on it. This will open your app.
  2. Log into the app – Enter your email ID and passcode.
  3. Locate files – This option will be in the bottom menu, press on the cloud icon named “Files.” It will raise the file directory of the OneDrive account. You can see all the important folders and files from here.
  4. Select a folder – Visit the sub-folder where you want to move your file to locate. Go through the folders by pressing on them.
  5. Choose the folder – Press on the three small circles icon on the top right side of the app. It will prompt relevant task options for the folder. Press “Select items.” The folders in this sub-folder will then have chosen circles next to them.

Tick on the folder you want to transfer, now your selection circle will be emerged on blue, and a check will show up.

  1. Determine the destination – When you select your folder, a bottom menu will show and this presents further task options for the chosen folder.

–    Go to the file icon and press on it, and this will show the file directory of your OneDrive account.

–    Go through the folders by pressing onto them until you identify and select sub-folder for your folder.

  1. Move your folder – when you find your destination sub-folder, press on “Select this location.” The chosen folder will be moved on this location.

2nd Way: By moving a file

  1. Open OneDrive – First, go to the app on your iOS device and press on it. This will open the app.
  2. Log in your app – Enter your email ID and passcode.
  3. Access your files – This you will find on the bottom menu, press on the cloud icon named “Files.” It will raise the file directory of the OneDrive account. You can see all the important folders and files from here.
  4. Place a file – Visit the sub-folder where you want to move is located. Go through the folders by pressing on them.
  5. Choose the file – Press on the file to select and launch it and if it’s supported by OneDrive, your fill will be loaded.
  6. Determine the destination – When you select your folder, a lower part of the menu will show and this presents further task options for the chosen folder.

–    Go to the file icon and press on it, and this will show in the file directory of your OneDrive account.

–    Go through the folders by pressing onto them until you identify and select sub-folder for your folder.

7.    To transfer the file – When you find your destination sub-folder, press on “Select this location.” The chosen folder will be moved to this location.
