How to tag on Instagram and check which photos we are on

Instagram is the most used photo sharing application in the world and in Italy, owned by Facebook, famous for its retro effects to be applied quickly to photographs just taken with the same app that you can download for free on both iPhone and Android phones .

How to tag people on Instagram

To be able to tag a person we follow on Instagram, first of all we start the app, we tap on the top left of the symbol with the camera, take the shot to share and then press lower right on Send to to access the list of friends to send the shot to.

We select the person or persons to whom the photo is to be sent by tapping on Send ; if instead we wanted to create a story, just tap up on Share , so as to make the photo available only for 24 hours.

Another way to tag people is to press, inside the Instagram app, the button with the bottom +, choose which photo or shot to use then tap top on Next . Now let's choose the effect to apply to the photo, select Next again at the top and, in the new screen that appears, tap on Tag people , so you can add a tag for all the people we want to see this confirmation.

In addition to adding tags, in this screen we can also insert our hashtags (in the caption) and choose whether to share the post or photo also on Facebook (with the same associated account), on Twitter or on Tumblr (other famous social networks that use hashtags).

After adding all the necessary tags, there is nothing left to do but to press up on Share to add the shot to our profile, with all our friends already tagged.

How to check the photos where we are tagged

When someone tags us in a photo, we will receive a notification and the photo will be added to the Tag section in the application; to reach this section, simply tap at the bottom of the account symbol (last icon at the bottom right), then select the Tag tab (in the shape of a little man inside a tab, the last on the right).

To avoid being automatically tagged in Instagram and then checking the tags (perhaps refusing bad photos), simply open the Account menu at the bottom right, tap on the three horizontal lines at the top and then select Settings . From here we press on the Privacy menu , let's get into the Tag then remove the check mark from the Add automatically item .

In this menu we also find an interesting feature, like Hide photos and videos . With this we will be able to hide the tags associated with us on the old photos or on the shots that we don't want to be associated with us, so as to maintain the privacy of our profile (maybe we made some old photos that we don't want to be seen). Taking advantage of the Tag section, we will keep a high check on the tags associated with our profile, so that we can avoid the most embarrassing photos or those that have nothing to do with us (maybe we were tagged by mistake or to exploit our followers).

How to increase the success of a photo

If we want to increase the success of a shared photo on Instagram, the trick is to tag as many people as possible (obviously they must be present in the photo or must cover a common topic) and also add at least 6-7 hash tags, so as to to be found even by new followers or by users who follow a precise hashtag.
