Steps to Swap Columns in Excel Using Drag and Drop Method

  •     Go to the MS Excel File.
  •     Press on the title of the section which you wish to move.
  •     You need to highlight all the columns.
  •     You have to move the mouse cursor to the right-hand side of the column until the mouse cursor turns into four arrows moving in all directions.
  •     You have to left-click on the side of the column.
  •     Keep pressing on the Shift key given on your system keyboard.
  •     You will get the ‘|’ symbol indicates where you have to place the other columns.
  •     Free the mouse cursor.
  •     Click on the Shift key provided on your system keyboard.
  •     The first column will be placed in the second column.
  •    You need to start moving the second column to the other side.
  •     Move the second column.
  •     You need to start using the drag and drop method for moving that column where you have placed the first column.
  •     This need to swap the location of both the columns.
  •     You have to perform this action without pressing on the Shift key on your system keyboard.

  •     Click on the Control and X keys together on your system keyboard.
  •     Move the column to the area of the original column.
  •    Click on the Control and Plus symbol.
  •     It will swap the location of both the columns.
