Fake fragrances usually only have head notes. These can be smelled at first but do not last long. Fake perfumes last for only an hour as compared to original perfumes that last for at least 2-3 hours. Besides, fake manufacturers do not have the correct formula and complete information regarding the required components.

How’s the Packaging?

Packaging is the first element that we notice when buying a product. Thus, when purchasing a perfume pay close attention to how it is packed. Is there a misspelled word or a grammar mistake in the name and description of the perfume? If the answer is yes, then it’s fake. Obviously, famous perfume houses wouldn’t make such a mistake! Next, take a look at the cellophane. If it is cloudy or wrinkled, it is a sign that the perfume’s a fake one. On a well-made perfume, the cellophane is wrapped closely around the box.

Is it being resold?

Beware of people claiming that they’re reselling Burberry touch cologne for men or any other branded perfume that they recently bought. They may say that they got the perfume as a gift, thus are giving it away at a lower price. But, that’s not what it is.
