Procedures of Remove Radiator for CLARK Forklift C500

1.Do not attempt to remove the radiator when the engine is hot.Wait until the system has entirely cooled down.

Danger:

Do not remove radiator cap when the radiator is hot.Steam from the radiator will cause severe burns.

2.Remove hood and counterweight grill.

3.Unbolt engine cooling fan and remove.
4.Place a large drain pan which has a minimum capacity of 27 quarts[25.5 liters]under the radiator and remove the radiator cap.Open radiator drain cock and drain radiator.

5. Loosen hose clamps and remove hoses from engine.
6. Remove radiator bracket to frame bolts and lift radiator out of truck.
7. Reinstall in reverse order and refill cooling system with a 50/50 mixture of aluminumprotection, low silicatye formula ethylene glycol and soft(or distilled) water.
NOTE: Fill the radiator slowly to allow air to escape.
The cooling system is equipped with a deaerification system. This consists of a valving method to allow air in the engine to escape to the top tank of the radiator during refilling.
