How to Prepare IELTS Speaking ?
by pardeep g. IELTS Coaching In DwarkaIt may sound like a clear point, but there are so many students who go to IELTS-speaking tests, do not know what to expect.
The speech test is divided into three parts and it stays between 11-14 minutes in total.
Part 1 will take 4-5 minutes and you will be asked about yourself and your family, your work or study, your hometown, your family or your hobbies. This part is created to help you relax and talk naturally about familiar topics.
In Part 2 you will be given a card with a subject on it. The card will also have a list of points that you must talk about. You will have 1 minute to read the cards, make notes and think about what you are going to say. Then you have to talk about that topic in about 1-2 minutes. When you are talking, the tester will not help you in any way or will not ask you any question.
Part 3 is the most conceptual piece of spoken test and students often consider it to be the most challenging. The tester will ask you questions related to that topic, which you talked about in Part 2 and this part is between 4-5 minutes. The tester can test your ability to talk about past, present or future, give your opinion, talk about fictional situations, compare or contrast someone else's opinion.
