When you are
planning for a corporate party or an outing from Brampton Ontario, there are a

to keep in mind
For
admission fees and ticket sales:
● You can charge the event fee and sell
the tickets for the events only after the approval from the City of Brampton.
● The right to provide ticket
production services is reserved by the City of Brampton.
● The event organizer can establish the
admission fee and the Event Support Liaison will guide in establishing a fair
admission charge.
● You can serve alcohol at the event
only after obtaining the Special Occasion Permit from AGCO, the Alcohol and
Gaming Commission of Ontario.
● You can get the Special Occasion
Permit for private events, public events, and Industry promotional events.
● In the case of an outdoor public
event, you will have to send an Event Notification Letter with sitemap and
event details for the SOP application at least a month before the event.
● The Special Occasion Permit should be
in the name of the event organizer and a copy of it must be submitted to the
Event Support Liaison at least two weeks before the event. On the day of the
event, it must be kept handy for inspection.
● You should abide by the Liquor
License Act and make sure that the alcohol is only bought and sold under the
applicable SOP from an authorized Ontario winery or brewery. Serving alcohol to
minors is illegal.
● There should be food options and
various non-alcoholic beverages as well.
● Park Lands By-law 161-83 controls the
operation or parking of vehicles including the Brampton Party Bus service within the City of Brampton parkland.
Failure to abide by the rules will result in fines and also in the cancellation
of the event.

important things to keep in mind
All the large festivals and events in Brampton is supported by Tourism Brampton through their social media channels, annual Brampton Visitor Guide, and websites. For the required security at your event, you must consult the Event Support Liaison for Corporate Security and Risk Management and they will advise the appropriate measures you must take for ensuring security in your event.
