How To Personalise Your Business Trips

by Natasha Manual Digital Marketing Specialist

And while you are packing up your stuff for the day, winding up the day's office work, the boss calls you up and tells you that a business class flight has been booked for your sudden business trip. A business trip to one of your favorite destination might be the worst and happiest thing hitting you hard after a long time. You walk out of the boss's room with mixed emotions. Maybe because we tend to relate business travels with tight schedules, hotel hassles and meeting lots of people. The things get sadder when you are asked to go to one of your favorites places and work.

International business class flights offer you much comfort during the journey but how would you manage once after getting done? So we thought we could compile some tips on how to find happiness between your hectic business trips.

Connect the earphones.

Always update your music playlist before you start. When you land in a new city and is going through the mundane life, try listening to new tracks so that your senses get engaged. Stop or pull the window down of your cab to listen to the sound of the new city, its rhythm, and beats. If you come across any concerts happening near your hotel, grab the chance and get in sink with the music of the place.

Try the new dishes

Every city has a unique food culture. Try different dishes without preferring your traditional tastes. Having a different kind of dishes during your food breaks can bring a bit of happiness and a sense of excitement.

You might be exhausted by the night and lazy to move out of the room. Check the nearest good food joint and try new cuisines and dishes that would satisfy your inner self for taking a little effort.

Good food changes your mood and turns any boring trip into a joyous ride.

Refresh your memories.

You might probably remember your old school or college friend who is currently residing in your business trip destination. Don't forget to ping them up and catch some evening time with them. Meet their friends and ask them to take you to the nearest happening place.

Find yourself

We do understand the pressure and busy schedule you go through during the business trip. Try to pack one or two of favorite happy books with you to be read between traffic jams or scheduled breaks. Try finding a nearby park or a cafe where you can walk in and spend some time in peace or maybe watch the people of the city copping up with life.

You can also make your official meeting spot somewhere outside the walls. Check if your client or business part is okay with meeting somewhere like, a beachside or a park or garden outside the museum. This could give a pleasant mood for discussions and bring positivity to your business purpose. Once the meeting is over, you can soon get into your comfort box and rest.

Check the hotel

Business trips might not offer you great hotels that would comfort you with everything like a spa, pool or a small library. So check the hotel in which your accommodation has been provided. If there is a poolside, take a break alongside sipping a beer or if its a spa, do schedule a time for a good massage after a hectic meeting or if its a library, find peace in some random books. Whichever be, try staying happy and smiling with whatever is provided.

Hello stranger

Try meeting new people in the new city, while commuting in a shared cab or trams. It's always good to make connections to new cities so that when you come again next time you have someone to help you out. And also connecting with new people is a good way to learn about different places, lifestyles, and history. If you are travel freak then you would be carrying a journal for writing all these down which would be treasure some day.

So, when the next business trip calls you. Don't be disheartened, find the possibilities of happiness and get the business done.
