How to Manage Message Announcements on iOS Devices

by Gerry Martin office setup

Managing message announcements is a very simple task. It enables you to organize various functions and commands related to Siri announcements. In iOS 13, Siri – a virtual assistant provided by Apple will give you a vocal notification regarding your messages on your Airpods. You may respond to a message using Siri’s assistance once it reads the name of the sender and the whole text.

Here is how to manage all your message related notifications received on your iOS devices.

Customizing or managing Siri enabled notifications

Siri will provide all the notifications you enabled it for. In case you received notifications and wish to reply to the desired message, then you may do so by saying “Tell them {your particular message}”. Here you need not say “Hey Siri” to activate the virtual assistant feature.

Switching on the message notifications

  1. First of all, you have to put the AirPods into your ears.
  2. Then connect the AirPods to your smartphone or the iPad.
  3. Now, hit the “Announce Messages with Siri” option.
  4. It is not necessary to connect your AirPods with the iOS device each time you use. You have to pair it only once.

Switching off the reply affirmations

  1. Firstly, tap the “Settings” from your iOS device to launch it.
  2. Next, you have to hit the “Notifications” icon.
  3. Now hit the “Announce Message with Siri” tab.
  4. Then tap on toggle button available just after the “Reply without Confirmation” option to allow Siri to respond to any message without asking you once you finish your voice command. It will not read the text back to you.
