As you will open the Nuance Dragon NaturallySpeaking software, you will see a NaturallySpeaking DragonBar at the top of the screen. Well, this is the default location where you can find the DragonBar at the first time, you can change its placement if you want. Just click on the Dragon Icon on the left and choose the Tray Icon.

Doing this will minimize the DragonBar and will display a microphone icon through which you can explore all menu options available with the DragonBar.

If you wish to see the options, launch the QuickStart first and when the Windows starts operating, select Tools, then Options and then choose Miscellaneous.

Here, you can select the check box to launch the NaturallySpeaking software in QuickStart mode.

Once the DragonBar options are visible, you can explore them one by one.

5 Menu Options in DragonBar Making it More Interesting

#1. On/Off Button

This button can be used to switch on or switch off the microphone connected with the NaturallySpeaking Software. If your microphone is off, it will show a red light and you won’t be able to dictate anything with Dragon. So, you have to turn on this button to green light to start dictating.

#2. Volume Screen

If the Volume display is yellow, it means, it’s not hearing anything and if it is green, you can speak anything in the microphone, and it will take your voice at a good level. And if the screen shows red color, it means, you’re too loud during dictation, so you need to adjust your voice accordingly.

#3. Check Mark

Green signal means, you have access to the Full Text Control Function, and you can be working hassle-free.

#4. Menu

Here, you can manage all features and functions associated with that particular user-profile associated with your Dragon account.

·       Profile Menu - Add new users or back up previous profiles.

·        Vocabulary Menu – To add new words, phrases or teach the Dragon assistant about the type of your documents and emails.

·    Modes Menu – Switch from Dictation Mode to Command Mode or vice versa.

·        Audio Menu – Conduct accuracy training with playback and read.

·      Help Menu – Explore helpful resources, support and training related guidance and tips.

#5. Start and Stop Buttons

Select the text you want to playback or read it for verifying the dictation accuracy.
