How to make subscribers talk? Playing and provoking correctly

by Jack Johnson Designer

"Instagram activity is low," "Why no comments on Instagram?", "How to talk to followers?" - I hear these questions at every third consultation. You try, you create content, you take pictures, you hope for comments and subscriber engagement, but you get silence in response. I know how frustrating it is.

Especially for the readers of this blog, I have prepared 10 ways to get your followers to talk on Instagram.

Reasons for silence from readers

You do not want to break the silence. Put yourself in people's shoes, you signed up and under the publications not a single comment. Would you comment yourself?

No response from the owner of the page. Another situation is when a person will write one comment, second, third, and no response. One can't help but wonder if the owner of the account is stellar.

A lot of bile. It is worth it to criticize you and you throw yourself at a person with aggression, send him away and threaten to ban him. Don't forget that you are a public person and behave accordingly.

One for all and all for one. The problem is related to the previous one, but other readers jump on the person instead of you. They are ready to maul anyone. Also you can use stalk instagram for watching friends activity.

You're not trying to get your subscribers to talk. Yes, yes, a trivial and common reason. You simply forget to engage them in dialogue.

Bots don't buy or comment. If you dabble in scamming, then no comments are out of the question. Only if you don't scam them as well.

In order to get comments on your posts, you need to engage readers in a dialogue, ask their opinion. Show that the blog has a calm and friendly atmosphere.

Top ways to get subscribers to talk on Instagram

Provoke

Every topic from knitted hats to politics has controversial topics. The key is to grope and write a post about that topic. Think about what topic would "hook" your readers? If that's a problem, see ideas for provocative posts in my article with post topics.

I once wrote an absolutely emotional post about my impressions of Arab women. I didn't plan any kind of a hullabaloo, but it worked - everyone saw something different in this post. My readers left more than a thousand comments under that text.

Ask readers.

Ask subscribers to suggest topics for posts. You'll get fresh content ideas, feedback and comments on Instagram.

Question

A popular method that all instagram marketers talk about. This method has its own tricks without which it doesn't work. I'll be sure to write about it, stay tuned to the blog for updates.

Ask for advice

What blouse to choose for a job interview? What to feed the baby? What yarn to knit a sweater from? People love advice and are happy to keep the conversation going. A great way to get your subscribers talking.

Useful Recommendation

Recommend a useful service, book, person, or favorite product to your subscribers. Make the recommendation related to your area of expertise.

Publish a "True or False" style post. Invite readers to confirm or deny the myth.

Contest

Everyone loves gifts, so you can give something away to the first 5-10 users who commented.

Poll

Let the subscribers vote for one or another option. Here it's important to choose a topic that will touch a lot of people and write the answer options. For example:

Take a poll

The method is similar to a poll, but in the case of a vote, you will have to do what gets the most votes. For example: "What color yarn to choose for your scarf? Vote in the comments."

Play with your subscribers

Think back to your childhood and adapt a game for Instagram. For example, you can divine from a book, make up puzzles, etc.

Personally, I like to ask questions and ask for advice. I look out for provocation, but I'll be honest, it's not in my nature. That's why it can be hard for me to find the cholivorous topics.
