How to Make Just Good Prezi
It’s always good to have your presentation great and memorable. A great presentation comes with a great tool, like a Prezi Presentation. But it’s not just a tool that makeyour presentation great and memorable. You can do it great. Yet, you just do it good if you do these things:
1. Not understand your content.
Prezi presentation is good at flowing content. Yet, when you deliver it, you don’t feel the flow of presentation as you can’t navigate your audiences through your content. If you can’t navigate through your presentation, how do you expect your audiences to do better?
2. Not making any eye contact.
Because you can’t feel your flow on you presentation, you seek it at your Prezi Presentation. And that’s when things turn all wrong. You can look on presentation screen, of course. You can look on your notecard, for help. But if you always look at screen, reading your presentation, your audience don’t need you. If you always look at your notecard, then why don’t give it to your audiences? It is boring to have a presenter reading presentation rather than communicate with his/her audience.
3. Not using any body language.
As you are not making any eye contact, your confidence start to shrink and you lose your audience’s attention. Actually, you can win it back with your body language. No need to do a big move. You just need to move your hand while you talk. Believe it, moving your hand can restore your confidence and your audience’s attention.
4. Not confident.
Say you already understand your content after a full day practice and study. You prepare your Prezi Presentation carefully. Yet, you have low self-confidence. Still, you stepped up in front of your audience, and suddenly, BLANK! You don’t know what to think, what to say, and what to do. Your audiences wait for you to say, to do anything. But all you can say is something like “errr… I don’t know if I can present this subject well”, or “you know, I am not the master of this content”. Of course, you are not a master. Still, you must have self-confidence to talk and bring your presentation from just good to great.
5. Not managing time
Don’t forget to manage your presentation time. Your audiences need you to deliver it effectively. You can’t go around tell side story of your idea or crack jokes to break the ice all of time. It is because your audience doesn’t need it. It is not their purpose to hear you telling stories. Be to the point, tell stories or crack jokes sufficiently and finish it with good conclusion to make an impact to your audience.
