How To Lose Belly Fat For Summer

by Abhinav G. Movie Enthusiast

Spring is already here, summer is just a few months away, and you’re still sitting around trying to lose your belly fat. Well, for one, sitting around isn’t going to help you any. If you’re serious about losing belly fat you need to get out there and start exercising, now. Don’t put it off or procrastinate, just go out and do it. Go for a brisk walk, or a run, go do jumping jacks and sit-ups. Sitting around, lounging on the couch, and eating unhealthy foods is getting you nowhere and it’s time you kicked this habit once and for all. There are a number of ways you can get started losing fat right this second.

Exercise

No matter what stage in the weight loss program you are at, exercise is always essential. Combined with a good diet, you’re bound to have long-term success. Do at least 30 minutes to an hour of cardiovascular activity per day. This can range from swimming to running to biking, jump roping, speed walking, etc. You can also play a sport like tennis or basketball, something that requires you to run and act swiftly. Building muscle should be one of your primary goals. When you build new muscle, it requires increased amounts of energy and it gets that energy by burning fat, even when you’re not doing anything physical – imagine that!

Lift Weights

Like I said earlier, building muscle is essential because of how much fat it burns to sustain those new muscles. Try to lift weights 3-5 times a week, optimally. It is recommended to lift every other day so as to not overwork your muscles. You don’t even need a pair of dumbbells or any special equipment to get started, sit ups, pushups, pull ups, and squats are all weight-bearing exercises that build muscle by supporting your body in a strenuous position.

Drink Lots of Water

A lot of people take water and its miracle properties for granted. It is recommended for you to drink at least 1 to 2 liters of water per day. The easiest way to accomplish this is to carry around a 1 liter water bottle everywhere you go and then just refill it when you’re out. This should be a simple task for you that helps you burn up to 100 extra calories a day, not to mention all the calories you don’t intake due to water’s appetite suppressing properties. If you drink a glass of water before each meal, you’ll tend not to overeat and instead eat a reasonable amount. Water intake should be consistent throughout the day, meaning it’s better to take small sips every once in a while (even when you’re not thirsty) than to drink huge amounts at one time.

Stay Motivated

No matter how much you feel like you can’t do it, always tell yourself you can. Continually remind yourself of your goals and even keep a journal where you can track your progress such as workouts and weight lost, new dietary patterns, etc.
