by Katharine Isabella Technical Support Expert

In this internet driven world, the new platform of information is internet and it is replacing the traditional medium of information, entertainment and news that is television. Gone are the days of cable TVs: satellite and internet TV are the new methods. Roku offers the same video streaming product that allows an individual to watch tv through internet and the device is “Roku streaming stick”.

Roku customers sometimes face issues in connectivity, streaming or other issues. During the down time, they try to call customer support number to get help and for that they’d need to have Roku IP Address. A public IP address runs Roku. Any user can know ways to find roku ip address on their personal computers by visiting settings and Network on Roku device, which is the most common method to know the IP address when the Router is not installed. You can also install a router, check and manage your IP by getting in touch with your internet service provider.

When you do not have the remote, Roku has also released an app that helps you controlling your Roku streaming stick anytime from your smartphone, you’d just need to make sure that your phone and Roku stick, both should strictly be connected on the same wifi network to work properly. If you too want to know your Roku IP address without remote, you may follow the below mentioned steps to find that.

  • Launch Google Chrome in your browser and visit Chrome Web Store.
  • Search for “Remoku” and visit the very first link.
  • Click on “+Add to Chrome” icon to download Remoku.
  • Install Remoku, after that you’d see an icon “R” on the top right corner in Chrome.
  • Now, go to Settings to find Roku on your network.
  • Here, you’d get two options.
  • Scanning option to find IP address automatically.
  • Enter your IP address manually.
  • You can eventually click on the scanning option, this may take some time to give you your Roku IP address.

You can also get your Roku IP Address by serial number, you can simply provide the serial number of your Roku device(can be found on the box) to the member of customer support and he/she can find your IP address in their directories.
