How to get energy rating for your Air Conditioner?

by Great Deer Youth Registrationwala

As an air conditioner manufacturer, you as well as others know that it’s not enough to just cool the room anymore. You need to provide more. You need to provide savings. You have to make sure that that your product is seen as an investment rather than a burden. And the only way you can do that if you find a way to reduce the energy consumption of your product.

But that still wouldn’t be enough. Even if you reduce the energy consumption, you’d need to find a way to make your prospective customer aware of it. That’s where BEE certification comes in.

The Bureau of Energy Efficiency, in a move that changed the direction of the technological development of India, started giving star rating to the electronic and electrical appliances. As a result:

  1. Customers now have an option to choose among many electrical appliances.

  2. Manufacturers started to focus on reducing the energy consumption of their products.

  3. Customers, for the first time ever, had a way to think of an air conditioner, or a fridge as an investment.

As more and more product flooded the market, the costs reduced. Extravagant electronic appliances – including air conditioner – stopped being a status symbol. They became what they actually always were, a commodity that controls air temperature within a room; nothing more, nothing less.

So, through this article, you’ll find out how to get star rating for your air conditioner. Because in a market with a lot of competition, a 5 star AC rating is just what you need to get ahead.

What is the BEE certification process?
