How to Generate Talent

by Jessica Gross Assignment Help Expert

These days the words like talent, intellectual capacity and aptitude are heard very often even in the academic circles. This is just like other abilities of human beings that can be developed.

There is nothing fixed or static that is inherent, and that a person cannot change later on. There are various exercises and practices to build our mental muscles, to strengthen our minds, and to achieve better versions of ourselves.

Generating talent - The function of intelligence is to generate talent. The function of intelligence, (the function of the brain), is not to know, it is not to feel, but to direct action. And everything else is oriented to that objective.

Talent is acting intelligence – Beyond cognitive intelligence and emotional intelligence, the new model that is emerging and that integrates all the others is executive intelligence, intelligence in action and for action.

We think to act. - The talent is, therefore, the intelligence acting adequately, brightly, efficiently.Talent is the intelligence that chooses the goals well, manages the information, manages the emotions and puts into practice the virtues of action necessary to achieve them, expand their capacity for action and achieve continuous improvement.

Talent is the act of investing well in intelligence - What we are learning throughout our life is the sets of resources we have (intellectual, effective, creative, executive habits). The way in which we practically apply these lessons, that investment is the "action".

Generating talent in groups and organizations - If we talk about the intelligence of groups and organizations, we should also talk about the talent of groups and organizations.

In this sense, talent in organizations is manifested in the ability they have to choose their objectives and use the synergies that are formed between the intelligence of each to achieve those objectives, increasing their possibilities.

Generating intelligence - The intelligence of human beings is a mixture of biology and memory. It captures, manages information, and makes decisions and acts through mechanisms that we do not know.At this "non-conscious" level we call it new intelligence.

However, a part of the results of these activities that go to conscious state allows that the executive intelligence can direct and supervise the operations of the generating or new intelligence.

Some of the things that are necessary for generating and developing talent are given below:

Train and educate the intelligence adequately so that you have good ideas, desires, projects.Strengthen executive intelligence so you can discard unsuitable impulses, manage memory, etc.Have a good evaluation criterion.

The desire to improve and become better is what it takes -  The ability to manage our learning allows us to continuously move from spontaneous activity (we are constantly learning) to directed activity, (we learn voluntarily).

The directed learning or purposeful learning is what can impact intelligence and talent. Following are the characteristics of efficient directed learning.

1. It has clear-cut goals – It lies in knowing what you want to achieve and always keeping in mind the constant goal that is to improve your performance.

2. Learning the methods – Learn the ways to improve the performance and apply them in your life. Learning comprises of both practical and theoretical aspects of something.

3. Plan - Plan the training and establish the indicators to measure the performance and growth.

4. Feedback – Have a feedback mechanism or system in place and get uninterrupted and regular feedback.

5. Training – Training is more than just directed repetition. You need to support the process of gradual change.

6. Mindset – Create a growth mindset. Demonstrate and transmit it as something that you are on.

Being an expert in generating intelligence.

Following are the characteristics of an expert in generating intelligence:

1. He or she can perceive more ideas. He or she can recognise patterns, opportunities and possibilities.

2. Whatever he learns, he learns it with interest and retains it for long.

3. He takes less time to understand the things.

4. He can fluently plan, address and develop projects.

5. He or she can make better decisions with less information, by intuition.

6. He or she can distinguish adequately the relevant from the irrelevant.

Conclusion

The talent of an organization or team is its ability to choose well its goals and mobilise all the individual intelligence, which create it, to achieve them, while increasing their potential.

If we take it to the world of the organisations, the intelligence generation from which the ideas and processes of realization come is made up of all the people that work in that organisation. People who possess the knowledge, skills and operative capacities.

The executive intelligence is responsible for setting goals, receiving proposals, comparing them with the evaluation criteria, accept, reject or ask for alternatives and, and commanding the accepted proposals.
