How to Fix YouTube Stuttering Issue?

While playing videos on YouTube, you might experience certain disturbances. These glitches and stuttering issues can occur on Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or any other browser while streaming videos on YouTube. YouTube is a popular platform that lets you watch videos and enjoy music, upload original content, subscribe to channels, and more. Install the latest Adobe Flash Player

You should install the newest Adobe Flash Player by following these steps:

  1. Firstly, visit the official download site of Adobe Flash Player on your system.
  2. After that, tap on the Install now button.
  3. The file of .exe installation would then get downloaded.
  4. You should select the downloaded file and twice click on it, then pursue the on-screen steps to finish the installation process.
  5. Now, play the video again on YouTube to check whether it plays perfectly or not.

Turn off Hardware Acceleration

You can turn off hardware acceleration by following these steps:

  1. To get started, open Chrome and click on the vertical ellipsis menu icon.
  2. After that, select the Settings option.
  3. You should choose the Advanced button from the lower side of the screen.
  4. Now, switch the toggle of 'Use hardware acceleration when available ' to disable it.
  5. Finally, reopen Chrome and play the video again on YouTube. If the video is still stuttering, proceed to the next solution.

Update the Video Driver Manually

You should upgrade the video driver by yourself by reaching the graphic card manufacturer’s website, such as AMD and NVIDIA. On the website, browse for the latest driver that is compatible with your operating system version.

Remove the Browsing Data and Update the Browser

You can remove the browsing data and update the browser by following these steps:

  1. Firstly, go to Chrome and launch a new tab.
  2. Thereafter, press the Ctrl + Shift keys simultaneously on the keyboard.
  3. Then hit on the Delete button.
  4. You should click on the Clear data option.
  5. Later, click on the vertical ellipsis menu button on the upper right side of the screen.
  6. Now, click on the Help option and then choose the 'About Chrome' option.
  7. Finally, Chrome will look for updates itself.
  8. After completing the process, reopen Chrome and play the video on YouTube.

Check the Network Connection

Check the speed of your internet. If the speed is decent, then see if you are currently downloading something. Pause all the downloads, and close all the tabs that might be consuming too much data. Restart the browser, and try playing the video again.
