How to fix the Microsoft Windows 10 update problem?
Microsoft released its new Windows Portable
Device (WPD) driver this March. But, the disappointing thing is that this
latest update has a string of problems. And the worst part is that Microsoft
keeps pinging its users to update their Windows forcefully. Even if we move on
with the forceful update, the issues in the Windows updates keeps frustrating
us. We just wish Microsoft would have tested these updates before troubling us
with their tricky marketing strategy.
We
understand that automatic updates are necessary for the security purpose and
save us from cumbersome computer repair hustle. But,
the problem with these updates is major changes and that too without even
proper testing.
What’s done
is done, now we have to fix it!
Microsoft WPD, 5.2.5326.4762– 2016 update
have become the worst nightmare and we couldn’t get over the frustration this
update has created for us.
Yes, Microsoft was successful in removing the
issue with the new update, but what about the users who have already installed
it?
The release
of this new update has broken the MTP drivers and we are now deprived of
accessing files of android and windows phones, media players, and tablet along with
other portable devices when connected with a computer system. It’s hard to fix
this with basic computer repair tools.
Every
release of software and its updates are supposed to be tested, but with
Microsoft it didn’t happen. Well, we can’t expect an automatic computer
repair for fixing
this problem, so it becomes our job to get ourselves out of this mess.
Don’t be in
the illusion that you can uninstall it, this is not a normal update but a
driver update. However, a system restore point has been recommended by
Microsoft for your computer repair. But,
that also has a problem; as many updates were shipped with disabled system
restore point. You could try another fix from Microsoft where it invites for
following 13 step procedures which involves device manager and a couple of
commands to be run on Admin Command Prompt, not easily discoverable by average
computer user.
Anniversary
update had broken webcam!
When
Microsoft rolled out the new Anniversary update it had broken webcam of many
users. The big changes in this update have completely the way webcam stack
works. The worst part is no notification regarding to the same has been given
by Microsoft and several users still hustling with computer repair solutions for their webcam. Even the release
of patch wasn’t able to fix this problem and the only solution to this is to do
the registry hack.
Anniversary
update still has other bugs!
The stability problem has been reported with
the Anniversary update, where PC runs into the blue screen. It took 3 months
for Microsoft to fix this problem. Two important files were missed in the Power
Shell update, broking two distinct features.
Useful
settings are removed
With the new update, many users didn’t have
lock screen disable feature. Adding to this people weren’t able to stop the
automatic updates. Owning Windows 10 — Enterprise edition or Windows
10 — Education edition solves this problem.

keeps adding insult to the injury
Microsoft fills your PC with enormous ads
which requires you to disable advertisement setting every time a new update
comes into the attack. After all, you need to keep your OS quiet.
