1. UPDATE MEMORY SPACE:

To fix the space issue:

  • Log in the FTP client then open manager.
  • Connect the server.
  • Click on Quickconnect
  • Then Add- define (‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ’64M’); to the end of config.php file.

2. CHECK .htaccess FILE:

This .htaccess file can be a cause of this error. and to fix this

  • you have to Login to the FTP client and open the home folder.
  • Look for the .htaccess file. And if due to some reason you were not able to find then click on the Force showing hidden files.
  • The rename it to .htaccess.
  • Then after renaming remove the file and create a new one.
  • Then save all the changes.

3. INCOMPATIBLE THEMES AND PLUGINS:

Themes and plugin are associated with WordPress and they can also cause 500 internal server error WordPress.

This problem can be troubleshooted in two ways, you can solve it by accessing the dashboard and also by troubleshooting via FTP.


4. ERROR IN WORDPRESS FILES AND FOLDERS:

In every system files and folders are easily corrupted due to the transfer of data while running WordPress.

There are lots of ways to fix it:

  • Download WordPress again and extract the zip file.
  • Open the FTP manager.
  • Search for the root folder and locate WordPress.
  • Then upload the files (by wp-admin and wp-includes)

5. CHECK THE FILE PERMISSION:

File permission notifies the server if the user is not able to run, write files on the account. Like other apps WordPress also need permission. So, incorrect permission creates problems.
