Creating Favorite Locations on the iPad & iPhone

If you want to create some favorite locations on the iPad and iPhone, then you need to follow the instructions given below.

Adding a Location:

• First of all, go to the Maps application on your device.
• Then you should move to the right-hand side, and tap on the (+)add icon beneath Favorites.
• You have to go to the search box and enter the location beneath Add Favorite. You can input a name or address. Also, you can select the Siri icon to search through your voice.
• You can choose a location by selecting the “+add” icon for a place beneath Siri Suggestion.
• You should select the (+) add icon to upload the location.
• Go to the Details screen and modify the location title, if you would like to.
• Thereafter choose the type of location.
• Navigate to the Add Person beneath Share ETA, if you would like to share the location with anyone where you have travelled to the favourite location.
• You should tap on Done at the upper right-hand side of the display to save the Favorites.

Remove Favorites:

• Get started by going to the Maps application and select “See All” option near the Favorites section.
• Then you should select the details icon to the right-hand side of the location you would like to remove.
• Go to the lower side and select the Remove Favorite option.

Creating Collections in the New Maps Application

Follow the steps mentioned below if you need to create collections in the new Maps application.

Creating a Collection:

• To get started, open the Maps application on your device.
• Then you should choose “See All” to the right-hand side of the collections.
• Go to the lower right-hand side and select +add icon.
• You should enter the name for the new collection.
• Now, tap on Create option.

Adding Locations to a Collection:

• To begin with, go to the newly created Collection on your device.
• Then you should choose the “Add a Place” option.
• Navigate to the search bar and enter your location to search it.
• You have to select the +add icon near the location you would like to add.
• If you want to add more locations, then repeat this procedure.
• Now, when you are done, select Done.

Exploring the Collection Locations:

• First, you have to select a location to know more about it.
• This should be available beneath the Collection.
• Then you should select Flyover.
• You have to select Directions to locate how to get to the location.
• Navigate to the main location page.
• Check the details taken from either Wikipedia or TripAdvisor.
• This depends on how popular the searched location is.
• You can select “Add to Favorites” to upload to the must-see list.
• Or choose “Create New Contact” on the base of the location.
• Or you should “Add to Existing Contact”.
• Or you can “Report an Issue” when having an issue with your location listing.
• Navigate to the upper side of the display near the location, and you can select “Add to contain the location in other Collection.
• Now, select the Share option to share the location details with others via Mail or Messages or any other application on the device.

Delete Locations from the Collection:

• You should go to the lower side of theCollections screen in Maps, and select the Edit option.
• Then you have to select the circle to the left-hand side of the location you would like to remove.
• Now, to erase the location from the Collection, select the Delete option.
