How To Create A Great Fingerpicking Sound Using 6th Harmony
by Simon Candy Musician And Guitar InstructorIn this lesson, I show you a way to play chord progressions on guitar without actually playing chords.
I realise how silly that may sound, however instead of playing the chords of a progression you can imply them instead.
Think of the tune “Blackbird” by The Beatles.
There is not a single chord in this tune. They are all implied.
What you are about to see is an excerpt form a live masterclass I taught in Chicago. In this class, I take a typical chord progression and show you how to imply the chords of it using the harmony of a 6th.
In addition, I show you how to add droning open strings around these 6ths for a super cool fingerpicking sound.
