1. Processor, RAM and hard disk for a VPS

4. Server OS: a VPS on Linux or on Windows?

In addition to your personal preferences and knowledge, the main condition will be the software that you will install on the server.

In general, if you develop in .NET or plan to develop  Microsoft applications or designed for these platforms, you must opt ​​for a Windows server.
