How to Check COMEDK 2016 Result

COMEDK 2016 Result - The Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) will conduct the engineering entrance examination on 8 May 2016. The candidates who appear in the exam and qualify it will be offered admission on the basis of merit in B.Tech program in various participating institutes. To decide merit, the performance in the exam in the form of result cum scorecard will be assessed which will be declared on 28 May 2016. Higher score will lead to stronger chances of selection in the favorite college or stream.

Result of COMEDK 2016 – Steps to Check

• Click the direct link of result on EntranceCorner website to proceed with viewing result cum score.
• Once the link opens, login into the account by entering application form number and date of birth.
• On logging in, check link for result cum scorecard and click it. Result will now be shown on screen.
• Check details on the result and download it. Take printout of the same on A4 sheet and keep it safe.
• Candidates are suggested to keep printout safe as it will be taken as rank card in the admission process.

Based on the marks obtained by the candidate in the COMEDK 2016 Result, he will be assigned a rank. However, it may happen that two or more candidates score equal marks. In this case, the following tie breaker mechanism will be applied to resolve the tie and assign a rank:

• Number of incorrect responses will be checked in i) Physics, ii) Mathematics and iii) Chemistry sections.
• Aggregate marks in the subjects of Mathematics and Physics of COMEDK 2016 will be assessed.
• If tie exists among candidates, marks in the Mathematics section of the COMEDK 2016 will be checked.
• Finally, age of the candidate will be checked. Elder candidate will be awarded lower rank in the exam.

Once the rank assignment as per COMEDK 2016 Result is complete, candidates will be called for counselling. The order of call for counselling will be according to the rank. Lower ranked candidates gets earlier call than the candidate with rank higher than his.
