Remove timing gear covers ({ront and rear}
Check belt tension
Use gauge 5197. Tension shoLrld be between 12 13 unit

If incorrect:

Adlust tension 1o '12.5 uniis by moving pump mounring bracket.

Check timing gear belt
Use gauge s197. Tension tension should be between 12-13 units. 

Run Volvo PTT Diagnostic software,and open software to select adjust option.

Incorrect belt tension

lJnscrew expansion tank cap to release overpressure from cooling syslem.
Tum engine approx. 1/4 turn anticlockwise to obtain slack part of bslt on driving side. lf this is not done injection pump setting will be incorrect.
Turn crankshaft with 27 mm socket or 5188.
Adjust belt tension to 12.5 units on gauge 5197 by moving coolant pump mounting bracket.

 lf gear belt tension has been adiusled Turn engine at le6st one turn clockwise and check that belttension is 12-13 units on tool5197. Adjust if neces- saryaccording to operations K2-3 and rechecktension,Install timing gear covers2020 Volvo PTT 2.7.107
