When we set the driving pressure of mechanical pump, the correct method is to make the driving pressure higher than the back pressure by 1-1.5 kilogram per square centimeter. This is correct in most cases. But sometimes, to achieve the required displacement of the pump, we need to set the value of the driving pressure slightly higher. When the driving pressure is high, the disadvantage is that it is easy to wear the intake valve. If the driving pressure is higher than the required value, it will cause serious wear on the intake valve and we’ll have to replace the intake valve in advance.

In this case, it is recommended to use sanitary pressure relief valve. Pressure relief valve can not only allow the driving pressure to be maintained at a set pressure value that is capable of meeting the displacement of the pump, but also protect the intake valve from wear. In addition, when the application space is narrow, it is recommended to use a pressure relief valve station that has a steam collector. In the process of pumping water, the steam collector supplies steam to the pump so as to provide a buffer for the pump. This buffer makes the action of the entire device soft, reducing the wear on pressure relief valve.
