The heart of the intermediate frequency furnace is the thyristor, and its correct use is crucial to the work of the equipment. If silicon is often fired, the electric furnace stops swinging, and production is affected, vigilance should be aroused. The working current of thyristor ranges from hundreds of amps to several thousand amps, and the voltage is generally 2000 volts. Good main control board protection and good water cooling conditions are necessary.

 

Overload characteristics of thyristor: The damage of the thyristor is called breakdown. Under ordinary water-cooling conditions, the current overload capacity can reach more than 110%; there is no voltage overload capacity, that is, silicon will inevitably be damaged under overvoltage conditions, and considering the surge voltage, manufacturers generally choose silicon components when manufacturing equipment. For example, when the rated working voltage in the intermediate frequency furnace cabinet is 750V, two 1400V withstand voltage silicon components can be selected to work in series, which is equivalent to 2800V withstand voltage.

 

The structural characteristics of the intermediate frequency furnace are mainly the use of intermediate frequency heating design, the heating frequency range is between 100Hz-800Hz, which is suitable for the depth of heat penetration of casting heating, meets the requirements of casting heating uniformity, reduces the consumption of raw materials, and saves forging materials. In the production process of intermediate frequency, in order to improve the automation degree of intermediate frequency furnace heating, manufacturers use a large number of PLC control components and control system software to ensure the application of intermediate frequency furnace in casting heating automation production line, thus improving the enterprise to a large extent The output power of casting heating.
