How Is Wafer Paper Made?

by Nitin Kumar Digital Marketing Company
I can’t tell you the exact process as in how in the labs they are made but you should always go for wafer papers that come with FDA compliant certification. For example, Icinginks wafer paper is 100% natural and made from potato starch, water, and vegetable oil. So, everything is safe, and also anyone regardless of age, religion, and food preferences and consume them. Here’s where to find, https://www.icinginks.com/edible-paper/wafer-paper

If you want to make your own edible wafer papers at home and have the stomach for it, then follow these steps:

  1. Whisk rice flour, potato starch, salt, and cold water together. It should be about the same thickness as white glue.
  2. Stretch plastic wrap across the plate or a baking tin, tight like a drum. Pour the mixture onto the plastic wrap. Tilt the plate to spread the mixture into a circle or so maintaining consistency.
  3. Microwave on high for 45 seconds. The paper puffs up as the water steams. Use oven mitts to turn the plate upside down on the wax paper. Remove the plate, then carefully peel the plastic wrap away. Your edible paper will curl as it cools. Cut it into a square to help it stay flat.

I am no master of making edible sheets at home and these are the steps I found over the internet. I would recommend you to stick with the store-bought wafer sheets.
