How Is The Cuban Link Chain Better Than Ordinary Gold Chains?

by Jill D. Welcome to Doused In Pink!

Cuban link chains are usually much heavier than gold chains. Therefore, a Cuban link chain can be seen as less of a fashion statement and more as a symbol to show how much jewelery is being worn due to its weight. The regular gold chain should be round or oval, where each link is connected by soldering, twisting, gluing, or grinding together.

Cuban link chains can also be round or oval. Still, they use ball-and-socket joints where the links are made of solid sheets that are cut into smaller pieces and then attached using soldering, twisting, melting together with solder wire, attaching with cement glue, or mechanically fastening.

Benefits of considering Cuban link chains

1.      Cuban link chains are stronger than gold chains

This is the biggest and most important benefit. As described above, Cuban links are usually made with solid sheets that are cut into small pieces, making them much stronger. This is a very important feature because regular gold chains can easily break or tear due to weak links.

2.      Cuban link chains look better than gold chains

The most visible difference between a Cuban link chain and a gold chain is that you can tell the difference in weight between the two when worn together by the same person. Gold chains will likely be open, while Cuban links will likely be closed since their heavier weight requires a higher clasp strength to hold it in place.

3.      Cuban link chains are less expensive than gold chains

The cost of gold and silver means that even though regular gold and silver chains can look fine and affordable, they won't look as good as a Cuban link chain made with more solidified materials that can be very strong in weight.

4.      Cuban link chains come in many different styles

There is a wide variety of styles for Cuban link chains, from simple with no designs to exotic with fancy metals, diamonds or pearls. These styles help give the chain a unique identity to make it stand out, so the person wearing it is not mistaken for someone else wearing the same chain with different designs.

5.      Cuban link chains are easily maintained

Cuban link chains will not go bad or break as long as they are not neglected. Regular gold and silver chains must be regularly polished and kept in good condition, so their shine stays consistent. But the Cuban link chain is made with stronger materials that can withstand wear and tear, so you don't have to worry about it being weakened over time.
