The most contradictory question that usually troubles Engineering student is that which is better industrial training or training institute? Or how industrial training is different from training institute? Let’s take a look at both the cases:

If you do your Industrial Training from a training institute then you get trained by a teacher or trainer whose main aim is to impart necessary technical skills to you which are needed to stay ahead in the race. Trainers will make sure you learn those skills effectively and they will assist you in understanding of the technology. They will also provide you individual attention and clear your doubts and queries, regarding the technology, if any.

However, the disadvantage of doing Industrial Training from a training institute is that they does not focus on practical applications and provide classroom environment, with which learners are already familiarized. They focus on theoretical concepts which you have already studied during college days. They put emphasize on learning which students have already done. Moreover they are charging very high amount for their training program and provides slight exposure to practical and current technology. Many training institutes also offers training in outdated technologies which have no use. As students have no practical knowledge regarding the technology, so they find difficulty in finding the job. Hence, their money and time go in vain as they are not able to prove themselves even after completion of the training.

Training Institutes only imparts theoretical knowledge that has become the major obstacles for an Indian college pass out to acquire a job in today’s competitive world. And seeing the current developments, it would be unreasonable to expect things to change quickly.

Now let us look at the advantage of doing Industrial Training from a company. If you do Industrial Training from a company then you get opportunity to work on live projects which helps you in more effective understanding and learning of technology. You are also imparted with practical learning of the technology and you get acquainted with how thing work in real life. You get to understand the working environment of the industry which is not possible in case of doing Industrial Training from a training institute.

One more advantage of enrolling for Industrial training is that at the end of the training program, you get a certificate which validates your experience of working in live project but in case of training institute you don’t get a certificate.

One more difference which differentiates Industrial Training from Training Institutes is companies providing Industrial Training also offers assured placement assistance. They arranges interview for their certified candidates at the end of the training in leading and reputed companies. They also invite companies for hiring of their certified candidates.

Lastly, by working on live projects, you get to know that how things operate in the business world. You also get to know that working etiquettes and ethics which you won’t get to learn in training institute. All these things are possible in Industrial training only.
