QuickBooks Accounting software uses customer and vendor info to trace financial gain and payment info for your business. customer info is required to create estimates and invoices, and vendor info is required to trace expenses. QuickBooks provides a form to enter info for each customers and vendors, and every form has several fields in order that you'll be able to save detailed information in your company file. customers are added within the QuickBooks Customer support Center and vendors are added within the Vendors Center.

 

How to Set up my vendors in the QuickBooks Pro.

 

Adding vendors to your QuickBooks Pro Vendor list works the same basic way as adding customers to your Customer list.

 

l Choose Vendors→Vendor Center or click the Vendors icon at the highest of the screen.

l Click the New vendor button and then opt for the New vendor command from the menu that appears.

l Enter the vendor name.

l (Optional) Enter the name of your contact.

l (Optional) Enter the vendor’s phone details and email address and, if available, the fax details and website addresses.

l Enter the address to that you’re supposed to mail checks.

l (Optional) Check the default Payment Settings tab’s info.

l (Optional) Check the default Tax Settings.

l (Optional) give the default accounts to use with a vendor.

l (Optional) Click the additional information tab and categories the vendor.

l Type zero within the opening Balance text box.

l Enter the conversion date within the As Of date field.

l Save the vendor info by clicking OK.

 

When browsing your client list within the client Center, there's a computer menu at the highest of the list that has many choices:

l All Customer and Vendor

l Active Customer and Vendor

l Vendor filters
