How Do I Set Up Automation in Nuance Dragon NaturallySpeaking?

With the Nuance Dragon NaturallySpeaking Software, the users can set up some relevant keys that work as they press a button. The entire buttons of the Dragon keys tab work the same way as if you click a button and a set Hot Key dialog box pops up.

 

When it opens, you must not try to type the names of the keys, instead of that, just press them.

 

Let’s take an example to understand this better!

 

Press the Ctrl Key and {Ctrl} would appear. Once it is done, you can click Ok.

 

With Setting Up the automated keys in Nuance Dragon NaturallySpeaking Software, you may want to use these -

 

#1. Working on a keyword, you would need to press Ctrl or Alt with the letter you choose to enable this feature.

Else, you can go with the function keys, arrow keys and non-typewriter keys with the combination of Ctrl or Alt.

 

#2. This key opens the correction dialog box to correct the word or phrase you spoke right before it.

 

#3. Continue holding this key to interpret what you instruct as the voice command to the Dragon NaturallySpeaking.

 

#4. In the Force Command Recognition, whatever you say come up in the text format. In Force Dictation Recognition, it goes straight opposite to that.

 

In the previous versions of Nuance Dragon NaturallySpeaking Software, there was a results box that displays what the speech recognition software takes as your dictation.

 

Later, in the Nuance Dragon editions, the results box was streamlined to a results display.

As you start the dictation, you will encounter a tiny Dragon icon displaying near your text. To avoid distractions during dictation, Nuance had to remove the result box.

 

And in results to that, now the users won’t have to switch back to the results box option if they are being new to the Dragon Software.

 

Still, if you want to see the results box and want to display it, you can do it by your own. All you have to do is to follow the below steps -

 

Go to Tools, then Options and then View Tab.

 

Here, you can find the Results Box section.

 

Now click on the arrow under ‘Auto-hide Delay’and then, select ‘Always Hide’or you can also select some amount of time.
