How can you naturally lower your triglycerides?

by Francine Kanter Classical Homeopathy by Francine Kanter

Do you know that you can easily manage your triglyceride levels at home? Triglycerides are a fatty type of lipids that are found in our blood. Just like low-density lipoprotein (the bad cholesterol), high levels of triglycerides in our blood can increase the overall risk of stroke and heart disease. They can be very dangerous for your health which is why you must keep them in check.

Professional doctors of homeopathy in Deland say that elevated triglyceride levels represent a critical issue and should never be ignored. However, is it possible to lower triglyceride levels naturally?

Natural treatment for triglycerides

Triglycerides, like cholesterol, come from the food we consume and our liver. Ideally, our body uses triglycerides for energy. The primary problems arise when triglyceride levels get high. When our body makes more triglycerides than we consume, the rest get stored as fat. That is why many people who have type 2 diabetes or are overweight tend to have high levels of triglycerides.

Time to cut back on refined carbs and sugar

Different foods that have carbohydrate-loaded also contain different nutritional levels. Besides looking for medicine for triglycerides in homeopathy, we suggest you scale back or eliminate flour, white rice, refined grains, and any starchy vegetables like white potatoes from your diet. You need to reduce the overall consumption of sugar and foods that have high-fructose corn syrup.

Add whole carbs and fiber.

By increasing your fiber intake, you can proactively reduce your triglyceride levels. Common foods that contain plenty of fiber and good carbs include:

·       Apples (with skin)

·       Oatmeal

·       Beans

·       Greens

·       Sweet potatoes

·       Whole grains

·       Brown rice

·       Pears

Eliminate alcohol

Excessive alcohol consumption can also result in a high level of triglyceride. So, if your triglyceride levels are higher than usual, it might not be a bad idea for you to eliminate alcohol intake.

By keeping these things in check, you can easily control your triglyceride levels. However, if home remedies do not help, you can always contact a doctor for professional help.
